Amazon Will Now Buy Your CDs - romannottly
For an hands-down way to trade-in ancient technical school gear, it's hard to beat online services that offer cash operating room store credit for your unused phones, PCs, medicine players, video games, and DVDs. A variety of whacking-name sites, including Best Buy, eBay, and Gazelle, take sell-ins.
Amazon does excessively, course, only until now its Trade-In Store accepted goods in just four categories: Books, video games, movies &A; TV, and electronics. But there's good news for those of us with dusty stacks of audio CDs: Amazon will at present take your discs as healed.
To submit a CD in substitution for an Amazon gift card, go to the retailer's Trade-In place, take the "Music" category, and enter the artist and/or album name you'd equal to patronage.
In my test, Amazon offered $4.50 for a 2-disc "Marvin Gaye Anthology" in "safe" shape, or $4.95 for an "Anthology" kick in "like new" condition.
I could seek to trade my CDs individually, but it's non meriting the time or trouble. It's easier to black and white a UPS mailing pronounce supplied by Virago (shipping is free), stuff my CDs in a box, and send them off.
There's one caution, though: After examining my CDs, Amazon may make up one's mind they'Re worth to a lesser degree the in agreement-upon Leontyne Price, in which case they'll turn back them to me at no charge. (When you first accept Amazon's offer, you can decide whether to accept a lour price if Amazon deems your patronage-in to be worth less, or just have the item(s) returned to you.)
If you have old CDs you'd like to unload, give Amazon's Swap-in Store a try.
